Freebies on the Internet

There are free resources on the internet waiting for you. Everything from tutorial services, to that lost manual for the DVD player you purchased 2 months ago. Many of the resources are not used because people are not aware that they are there. If you have a few minutes to do a search, what you need you may find for free on the internet. However, you have to be careful because some software come with spyware that will phish for your personal information. If you are not sure, do not download it, but you are safe with the more reptuable companies like Google, Yahoo, and Microsoft.

Here are a few of my favorites.

Skype
http://www.skype.com
You want to use Skype if you want to communicate via computer with live conversation and a video cam. This is how you stay connected for free with your family serving overseas, with grandchildren, and friends from college who sit at their computers a great deal of the day. It's free to download and free to use with others who have skype. So just send an email and tell them to download skype also. Of course there are upgrades for a cost, but the basic free download is all you really need unless you are doing conference calls with large numbers of people. Once you create your skype account, give me a call at "nancyjohnsoncline" see you there!

Free Games
http://www.mostfun.com/
Safe, simple, downloads of all types of fun games.

Microsoft Office Online
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/clipart/default.aspx
If you have clipart needs but just cannot find what you want in your gallery, Microsoft Online has more, you just have to download it. It's free and you can use it on any of your projects, even your websites.

Wildvoice
http://www.wildvoice.com/
Forget about the tape recorder and follow the rest of us into the 21st Century. On wildvoice you can record using your computer so that you create a digital audio file. You need a mic and speakers so that you can record and hear what you playback. Wildvoice does the rest. It's free and easy to use. You have to create a free account and then you begin recording, AND you can edit. This is great if you want to add some voice-over to your website or if you want to create a podcast.
